Thinking Dog?

Mr Don is thinking about …
a) Vacation in China?
b) Vacation in Bangkok?
c) Getting a new SLR digital camera?
d) None of the above?
DCIM and 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Ballon Fiesta 2009
I went to DCIM in Midvalley today and it was quite disappointing. Alot of big brand is not there. I didn’t even get to see the latest E-620.
A Typical Day
Wednesday, March 25, 2009
This morning, I started the day by going to the People’s Republic of China Embassy to collect my travel visa. Then I went to hang out at this back alley.
This is a typical KL back alley. Is that someone dealing with dope over there? Actually no, there’s no dope or pros! In fact, this alley is a well known tourist place in KL.
After hanging out at KL, the next destination is PJ. Fetch my sicko girlfriend to see this popular chinese physician. Tong Ren Tang is a store that deal with traditional chinese medicine since the Qing Dynasty. Sicko girlfriend overheat and develop some weird rashes (due to weird sleeping hour – whenever I go sleep, she is awake. And whenever I wake up, she goes sleep). You can have all the money in the world, but money can’t buy you health.
While waiting for the chinese medicine to be ready, we went off to the stamp duty office to get some official stamping for some legal document. Our local government office is simply amazing! I don’t even remember how long I actually waited before I get my things done.
So while waiting, I decided to take some photos of the surrounding. It was a hot day! My car external temperature reading tell me that it’s about 37 degree Celsius outside. A perfect day for outdoor photography. See the sky is actually blue and you can even see the cloud!
No, that’s not my car. Although I always think of buying it.
Balloon Fiesta @ Putrajaya
Sunday, March 22, 2009
Last night when I was sleeping, Su Ling came into the room and mumble to me something about some balloon fiesta. I thought who the heck want to go see balloon (just like the photo above). Spiderman balloon, anyone?
During Sunday morning, I actually decided to take a drive to Putrajaya and see what’s all this fuss about balloon. Gosh! It’s not those mickey mouse stuff but there’s actually a Hot Air Balloon Fiesta going on there! By the time I arrived (which is already late), almost all the balloon had already went up the air. This impressive Zeppelin is actually a Malaysia balloon.
Although I had skip fishing this Sunday (at some catfish kingdom), I’m actually quite happy (just like the clown). Maybe I will come back again next year for the balloon ride.
The weather was cloudy and that’s why a lot of photos didn’t turn out good. According to Su Ling, this is the Malaysia Balloon (with the Kelantan Delight ads on it). At least there’s some activities this Sunday. Next week, I think I will be going to DCIM at Midvalley. The following week after that, I will be going Bangkok. Xi’an trip is still not confirm, as there’s not enough tourist for the trip. Crappy Travel Agent!
Xi'an … Here I Come …

Life is like a taxi. The meter just keeps a-ticking whether you are getting somewhere or just standing still…
Sunday, March 15, 2009
That’s a quote on life. So are you getting somewhere or are you just standing still? Still at square one?
But in fishing scenario, once the stupid boat leave the port, the meter start running. You can spend your time sleeping on the fishing boat or vomiting all the way, but the meter will still run (just like the meter in the cab). So if you sleep the entire journey, and when the time’s up, you still need to pay for the boat. During my last fishing trip last (somewhere last year), I started sleeping the moment the boat leave the port. In fact, I spend most of my time sleeping rather than fishing. Luckily I went to sleep (trying to make up all the sleeping time that I lost) because it was a rather quiet fishing trip. There’s no bait fish! There’s no bite! The boat ride was long and slow. Overall, boring is the word to describe it.
At night it was raining heavily and in fact that’s the first time I spend a night in the middle of the sea with strong wind and storm. Maybe one fish and then it’s quiet all night long. Okay, not that quiet, a storm hit us at about 2am or so …
Opportunity – In life, there’s this thing call opportunity. But I’m not talking about life here. I’m talking about fishing. Next day about noon, we are still zero in term of fish. Then there’s this debris in the middle of the sea (you can see it above in the picture). My friend seize this opportunity and that’s when we hit jackpot!
When you see an opportunity, you seize it. After sleeping for more than 10 hours or so … I think that’s the only 1 hour fishing time I had for the entire trip. I don’t remember how many fish we caught, but I think we almost eliminate the entire colony that stay at that debris that day. Even the boatman is happy.
So in life, sometimes you could be at a standstill … waiting for your opportunity to come.
Another trip up north ...
Monday, March 09, 2009
Took a trip to Penang recently. Upon arrive, we went to sister fried kuey teow for breakfast. According to Ms Huan, this white color kueh is the best in town. I'm more interested in the ads on the tabletop.
There's a fire in Campbell St recently, and I was told that someone actually die up there ... spooky?
This is one of my favorite photo for the trip. A nice view of the morning market with Komtar behind. Guess which section is Jeff Ooi's office?
After going up north, maybe planning to go south soon. I'm still thinking whether to go watch Cats or not??
